Please could anyone help,I went to putall the gass appliences on in my caravan yesterday to air it out a bit. the heater and cooker worked fine but i couldn't get the grill and rings to light . i tried numerous times with no joy there just didn't seem to be any gas getting to these , has anyone else ever had similar problems? . could it be that the pipes are frozen although it was quite a mild day. many thanks niki.
If you are using butane rather than propane it may not work very well at low temperatures, but as the heater and oven are working that is not a likely cause of the hob failing to ignite. There may be a separate tap on the hob supply which has been turned off. Or the jets may be blocked.
Did it work ok last time you used it?

If you are using blue butane bottle then this is probabley the cause, butane wont atomise at low temps. If you intend to use your caravan before Easter I suggest you get propane. If you have Calor blue bottles you can exchange for red propane. If you have bottle top regulator you wil need a new one.

could be an airlock as the heater worked okay, try turning the gas tap on the bottle off and on then open a burner tap and just stand above it with the lighter or sparker on, can take 20-30 seconds. also check the condition of the gas hose from the bottle to the bulkhead as if it is the rubber type it may be perished and letting more gas leak than anything.
As Wizard said, the glass lid operates a cut-off valve & the lid has to be opened fully, even a small amount will close the valve, also check lid is opening this valve
