Hi All

I was looking for a caravan last year and you were all wonderful help, but now I have a much larger budget and different requirements.

I'm looking for a 6 berth van, preferbly with two double beds rather than 4 bunks.

Sometimes there will be 5 or 6 of us and sometimes just 3.  When it is just 3 I would like to be able to shut of an end bedroom with a solid door as my small son would pop his head out of curtain and wouldnt sleep!

Anyway sorry for the long winded post, I suppose what I'm trying to ask is Does a layout exist with two double beds and two singles?

Any advice will be gratefully recieved.

Hi Fruit-loop

Have you considered the Geist range as they are slightly different in layout

http://www.geistforlife.com/xklusivRange.php

But if you are thinking about buying then try Elite Caravans (i am not connected)http://www.elitecaravans.co.uk

they are much cheaper than buying direct from Geist

They are German built, solid vans, made to UK spec

Try also the Adria range http://www.adria-caravans.com/adiva-overview.htm

or TEC http://www.caravanchannel.co.uk/v2players/TEC1.html

http://www.caravanchannel.co.uk/v2players/TEC2.html

Hope this helps

Andy

5 berths have 2 doubles you just dont put up the back bunk look for a highe model and you will get a solid wooden sliding door. the front bed would sleep 3 if you take out the centre chest but this may be too small for a big living space. what about a fixed bed 6 berth models?? you get 2 doubles and 2 bunks these are twin axle usually but the bailey Ranger is quite a light van.

Hi, we had a Mendip Magnum 630 (based on a Compass Corona 630) for 4 years with the exact layout you seem to need. There are long seats both sides front and back of the van which both make up into double beds, The rear seats both have bunks above if needed. There is also a double solid sliding door which partitions the rear off into a separate bedroom.

We used ours on a seasonal pitch, just the two of us and left the rear set up as a permanent bedroom. Very handy..
