Towing our 5 berth Challenger (at the time) with a peugeot 405 1.8 TD up the welsh hills...No problem, bought a Volvo 850 estate 20v 145 bhp, then tried towing the Challenger up the same hills, No chance! A queue of traffic behind us, with the Volvo front wheels spinning frantically and getting no where. We had to reverse down and into someones drive to turn round...really embarrassing!
Diesel is better than petrol for towing!!!

Don't worry, you'll still be making mistakes like the rest of us for years to come. Why do you think most campers enjoy sitting outside watching the rest setting up and packing. Far better than the telly, also a good excuse for plenty of beers.
OMG I will be paranoid now thinking every one is watching lol..only 10 days to go now so I may join this list after that lol..I hope this snow soon goes too.

Our first ever trip out in our first caravan last year started off well enough..lovely weather etc. Got fish and chips from van that came on site except youngest daughter who wanted a sausage.Few hours later in the middle of the night our youngest started being sick-all over our lovely new cushions. We hadn't thought of bring extra towels,pj's etc....what a nightmare it was. We are now prepared for every eventuality..
