That's expensive. We bought our Abbey Spectrum 1992 model about 6 years ago for £2800 that included the awning, water containers etc, pots, pans, plates, glasses, knives and forks. In fact I didn't need to buy anything else. We got the lot

Far- Far- far too expensive, this link might help. It doesnt give you the van you were viewing, but will give you perhaps indicatve prices. And an idea of what you could get for 3k. Guide only of course, but if you pay that much for that van, you might as well throw 1.5- 2K on the fire in my view?
Hello again. Thanks to all those who sent me advice. I went to see the van today and was quite suprised. The van was clean inside and out. No damp at all (I used a meter)
He said he had bought it in early 2006 for £3,000. The awning etc was all there and I explained to him that because it had been standing all this time.He bought it to sell on. and because of it's age I could only go as far as £1,200. He agreed So I hitched up and got it home.
Honest it is bone dry and very clean.
Once again for all your help and suggestions.
Happy Caravaning

Now thats more like it! nothing like a good bargain. Didn't have to twist their arm much did you lol! Just goes to show they were trying it on then realised you were on to them. Have you been planning your hols already then?...i know i have! Ross Park near Newton Abbot first for me in Apr, then off to Tenby in May. I'm just trying to decide which park to go for.
Sounds like a good deal! We bought our new (1992 cris registered) caravan last year for £1850. and when i went to insure it their value was £2,500. I still think it was a bit pricey but it was the layout i wanted and the time of year seems to make a difference when buying a caravan!
I'm sure you will have some great times in it whatever the weather...
