Hello, I'm looking at a movers for my van and i like the fact that the rhyno claims to be all british (the price is a draw too). Has anyone got one or have any opinions on this mover?

The only experience we had was that they never turned up when they were supposed to!!

We made three different appointments, including one which andy took time off work and he never turned up and never told us he couldn't make it, with ever changing excuses why he didn't come when we rang him.........so not very impressed.

In the end we got a powrtouch which is fab!!

I used to have one on a previous caravan. It was excellent.

The fitter came when he said he would even though done at very short notice.

The after sales service was good too, when I lost the handset.

It is the lightest one on the market and has the best ground clearance, according to a review in Practical Caravan last year.

Cant beat buying british. the internal gearing is steel not the nylon used in some others. will stand the test of time i think.

Rhyno movers are excellent. Totally British, one of the lightest and smallest units, and have a good ground clearance. Ours was fitted by Rhyno. They came when they said they would and did a good job.

I wouldn't want to be without it now.

I had one fitted in July and its been nothing but bother, the fitter has been out to it and said it was the battery, then something else then something else, I was assured a fitter would be out to me 2 weeks ago again to rewire it or something, I waited in all day, never turned up, phoned, no answer.
Rang the next working day and the bloke said "we turned up" which was a lie as I had been in all day and the time he said I was cleaning our our front porch so would have seen him!
I have rang 3 times since and promised a call back with a new date and have waited and waited and no phone call back
Steer clear, We actually end up having to heave the caravan whilst trying to press the buttons on the mover, and it constantly stalls!
When I have actually managed to talk to someone he tried to blame me for it working incorrectly, Their customer care is apalling, I am going to give them one last shot at fixing ours or they are going to have to take the damn thing off and refund me.

When powrwheel talk about a stronger motor they mean a motor with the same power as other manufacturers motors.  They have a low powered mover which has less power than other movers.  Like rhyno they also have a five year warranty.

mine sometimes stalls when under load. i cured it by fitting a pneumatic tyre jockey wheel. perhaps your van is a little on the heavy side for the single axled rhyno. Do they quote up to 1500KG?

Hi Big Drake,

Yeah they told me it suitable for up and over 1500kgs, it also has the 20% more power over the standard rhyno one (or so I was told when I bought the damn thing!)

Still no phone call back from them this week,

The van is 1500kg fully laden (rarely up to that capacity) so I was told it'd be no problem, yeah right

We had a powrtouch fitted to our 1500kg van and it cost a small fortune BUT in all fairness the company treated us like a valued customer, the mover works like a dream from our 85 ah battery, and it comes with a 5 year 'no quibble' guarantee even of it is moved onto another van . Plus for a bit more money they supplied it with an electric actuator instead of a manual one - the ultimate in laziness lol! So although i cannot comment on the rhyno mover, i can tell you the Powrtouch is the DBs!!
