I have only had bad experiences with those nose weight guages, i bought one from Towsure and it was so far out that i could not get the noseweight any way near the recommended value for my car / van (75kg) so it became dustbin fodder!!!!

I use a pair of old scales and a cut off piece of wood that i set up on a flat tarmac area to begin with. I then check the scales are ok every now and then by checking them against the household digital scales.

Thanks to every one who explained it better, I now have the idea but i think it will click more as I do it. I think i will try it with the stick first and old scales. We drive a 4x4 -2.8 diesel not sure what weight it pulls will ask hubby later.

I have a senator Oklahoma and i think the main weight is over the axels as that is where the cooker fridge is on one side and the door is at the other. Therefore should I put the weight even under front seats and under fixed bed at the back.
