If you get good weather it's the most beautiful place to be. Lovely little beaches where you can build a fire, swim and sunbathe! There's a good pub in Balmaha - The Oak, I think. Drymen has a few bars, shops, and a hotel with leisure facilities. You can get a bus into Glasgow. Climb Ben Lomond - wonderful views and the breeze will blow away the midgies! Take a boat trip to one of the islands on the loch.

There is a Colony of Wallabays on one island and a Colony of Nudists on another.
