We usually manage two without turning off the shower tap whilst soaping up if you get what I mean. About 10 minutes or so. Obviously depends how hot you have the water.

Hi,got nothing to do with size of aquaroll. All depends on size of water heater tank. when hot water runs out in water heater then all you get is the water thats in the aquaroll. Cold. Well until it heats up again.

i'm puzzled, are'nt the disabled showers, now available on most sites, more suitable than your van? i have a disability myself and find the fully equipped sites far superior to the van shower.

I can easily shower and wash my hair with no problem and not use all the hot water.
It only takes 40mins on EHU or 15 mins on gas to heat up a full tank so it wouldn't be a prob for one of them to wait till a full tank was heat up. That way there's no pressure on how much water they use or how long they are in the shower. Just you who needs to refill the aqua roll and empty the waste water. Or pay the extra and get on a fully serviced pitch .

Some people with mobility probs just can't get from the van to the disabled shower facilities. It takes my mum about 5 mins to just get off the chair and be able to take a single step. Once shes ensconced in the van shes there till we are going home.

We have never run out of hot water while having a shower but we do turn it off while soaping up. And we always use a service pitch.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but how long can you expect to have a shower in the van before the hot water runs out? I ask because my parents come away with us now and mum would be better to use the van shower due to disability etc.
many thanks
Deano
you would be best to start with a full aquaroll and a full tank of hot water, put on both gas and electric water heating together, if you can, and leave on while mum showers.
if she has a quick rinse down then turns off the water while soaping, there will be plenty for a really good shower with hair wash.
leaving the water running while soaping will soon empty the tanks.
we use our shower a lot, but on CC sites do use the disabled facilities if the weather is conducive to leaving the van!

Hi
We use approx 1 Aquaroll a day, including 2 showers, and normal washing up water, cups of tea etc. We switch off water after soaping though.
Cheers
Paul

On a bad day hubby might not be able to walk that far for a shower, then to have a shower and walk back, it might just finish him off.
