Well - After lots of looking and missing some buys we have purchased our first van

Its a 99 Crown Regent 5 berth. Looks in really good condition. No 'extras' with it cos the original owners traded for a new van and took all the stuff so any hints and tips for picking up water / waste containers etc greatly appreciated.

Cant wait to get the family away for a weekend.

Well done, we have the same van.  It is not a luxury van but it suits us just fine because we spend most of our days out and about.  We picked it up for £2800 3 years ago and have got loads of use from it so it doesn't owe us anything at all.

Have fun, try car boots perhaps or the local free ads paper for bits and bobs?

Try Ebay, theres usually lots on there. Look for something local so you can collect. I recently bought a 40ltr aquaroll for £10

lots of cheap bits i put on 25/2/09 from a friend who is selling there motorhome.ie cable,pots pans ,plates ect.

Well done on the new van we have a 1994 golden crown has a really good layout needs a bit of tlc but hopefully we will be out and about with ours soon, have you decided where you are going to go first?

We picked up a wastemaster in great condition from freecycle.  Smelled a bit but soon cured that with Milton.
