I'm hoping someone can help. We have an "Outwell" (Vermont) tent extension (porch) and following lots of camping trips last year with lots of wind & rain, 2 of the 4 extension guy ropes ripped away from the seam. We're starting to plan this years camping trips but need to find somewhere that will repair our extension. Anyone know of any repair centres (Locations: London / Hertfordshire / Essex) ?
This might be better posted in the tent section, but here's some suggestions anyway!
Most repairers (and there are several in the north) operate a parcel post collection and delivery service. The Tent Repair Clinic do - but I'm not sure if they deal with lightweight 'outer' repairs. Try them on 0191 2753535 and ask.
Scottish Mountain gear specialise in lightweight tent repairs - and you can contact them on 0131 6531310 if you aren't able to find somewhere locally.

Viggo, "cling ons" look like they could do the job nicely and we can add guy ropes using these to help reinforce, thanks for weblink, very interesting. Also good to have spares in case of an other unexpected rips.
I've used a similar product to add anchor points to my awning groundsheet. They work really well - very strong and quite easy to reposition. They are available in "all good camping shops" ... and some rubbish ones, too!

PJ Camping in Hatfield/St. Albans do Tent repairs - repaired my vango 8 berth tent very professionally a couple of years ago after the Wife had fallen over and ripped one of the bedrooms out (and tore the seam away from the dome) after a few wines on the previous years holiday .. pretty reasonable cost too as I remember
