Just had a look in side the caravan, and noticed a bit of floor that springs a bit. I thought it may be delaminated, but have discovered that there is a joint in the floor in this spot which is moving. I don't if there is anything I can do to remedy this myself. Has anyone here had this problem? if so, how did you cure it.
If the joint is under the caravan and the floor is springy when you walk on it , it is imo most likely to be delamination . Tips and pictures on how to cure it here http://www.1carpc.co.uk/wcdr/delamination.htm
Many thanks for the replies. I know that the floor is a sandwich of ply-foam-ply, but do you know if a joint in the bottom sheet of ply will correspond with a joint in the top sheet of ply? If they don't, then yes you are probanly right about it being delamination. I have now got a picture from underneath, but I don't think it shows very much.
Personally i wouldn't have thought that the joints would correspond above and below as this would make for weakness that could be avoided . Only by removing a small amount of floor covering will you know for sure . I would still treat it as delamination , as the glue will make the floor rock solid .
Many thanks Wizard9956. I will get all the items needed as per the excellent link you included, as I now feel confident enough to tackle this job myself. Once again, Thank you.
