Hi all,

i have booked to go to primrose valley haven site near filey on a serviced pitch 21st to 29th march i was goin to order one of these off ebay for the water connection.

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-5232-2978-1/1?AID=9479574&PID=1428744&mpre=http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mains-Adaptor-to-fit-Aquaroll-10m-Hose-RapiDrain_W0QQitemZ160315738167QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Campervan_Caravan_Accessories?hash=item160315738167&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

but was wondering if i could use a reducer adaptor 28mm to 20mm for the waste pipe so i could save sum pennies when buying waste pipe, would you think this would be ok & how much waste pipe do i need on a serviced pitch & any suggestions on where to buy it from as everywhere i have looked it seems a bit pricey

 thanks eddy & co

March - primrose valley (haven)
 may  -   Rockley Park  (haven)
 july  -    Marton Mere (haven)

be aware that service pitches with haven don't all have waste water facilities although they have fresh water I was caught out last easter if the adapter is for a large aquaroll should be ok  you cant adapt the smaller aquarolls but the link isn't working

I would not use smaller waste pipe, it could restrict the flow too much and give you problems.   as to length, it varies, but if you get 5 or 6 metres and some straight connectors etc, that should cover all possibilities.

it is available several places for under £2 per metre.

Be careful when joining up the waste pipes, you leave about a foot and a half until the T piece so that when you let out the water in the sink, it dosn't come back up the shower waste.

I carry 3 or 4 different lengths of 28mm pipe - I have a two into 1 adapter made from normal pipe which i bought off ebay too. What I will remind you is that the distance between your van and the tap can be long distance, I need an extension for my whalemaster mains kit.

Hi Eddy,

We bought the same kit off the same seller nearly 2 years ago and at that price they are a real bargain, also the delivery time is amazing arrived next day day and also a great after sales service too. We orginally purchased after going to a local camp only to find that they were all super pitches so as soon as we got home we order from this seller, we used for first time 2 weeks ago when we visited Golden Valley Caravan Park in Derbyshire, (which i must say is an excellent park and the owner is all for the kids) where it made it the best break weve had so far didnt have to lift a finger apart from when I was open another beer, lol.

THe only thing i must stress is that the float MUST be completly vertical or else it wont work right  and causes the leve of water to triclke out the top of your aqua roll.

Hi sean, read your review sounds really nice alspo we stopped on the other haven site up the road called blue dolphin sept last year when we had terrible weather raining all the time & our awning turned into a mud bath with running water visible on the awning carpet....

so why we was out 1 day we had a nosey at primrose valley what a contrast flat pitches no standing water & parking on road next to pitch thats we goin this year lol

just a quick question i have read reviews & looked on haven site details but not sure if they have waste connection at primrose?

  thanks again

eddy & co

Yep waste connection also - just a hole in the ground with a flap - just make sure you have plenty of pipe! Blue dolphin is their cheapest. We have just swapped PV for Marton Mere in Blackpool as wife and mum are going with the kids to PV in a static whilst I am away working in London!

You will enjoy it, a little dear unless you use your head and dont fall for it. Go into scarboro for food and come back for a couple of beers and you wont go wrong. The kids love it and its all on. One tip - take advantage of all the free kids clubs which start around 9/10am.

Have a good un!

We have been to primrose valley, good for kids but take plenty of cash with you its all geared to spending in the venues and packed out if you dont get in the bars etc early enough.Lovely area though.

not been to primrose, as it seems to be the most expensive one round this bit, have been to Marton Mere , Lakeland, Blue Dolphin, Thorpe Park & Golden Sands, going to Reighton Sands at the start of the school easter hols.

another tip (but dont tell anyone !!) buy the kids a "pop yard" from the bar on the first night then refill it yourself for the rest of the week

HI, andi & tim,

thanx for the info hopefully kids will not spend too much on site lol as for bars might no go much as will have own supply in awning lol

great tip about "pop yard" tim wont tell anyone lol & i know its not the cheapest site in the area but fancied a serviced pitch for a change & with going end of march only cost me £95 for 8 nights which i thought was a bargain & my other 2 holidays ive booked this year are both haven serviced pitches but because they are out of season are bargains also...

 cheers eddy & co
