I have posted this on another site also but would welcome any further input from here. We are replacing our very old damp van and have seen a lovely Bailey Ranger 470/4 2004 for sale through a very reputable local dealer, at a reasonable price, but have heard that due to the front window/construction this model was prone to water ingress and damp.
Does anyone have any Bailey Ranger 2004/5 stories, whether good or bad that might help us make up our minds? We are going to have a good look at it and rummage through the paperwork to see what has been done to it, but any comments would be helpful.
Apart from this concern they seem to get good reviews and it certainly meets our requirements so we are really torn.
Our first caravan was a Bailey Ranger 470/4. It was a 2005 model and we never had any problems with water ingress or damp at the front of the van. We had it for over a year and kept in touch with the people that bought it from us and they have only just sold it as they are giving up caravanning for now and they never had any problems with it either. Would of thought the dealer would have checked it for damp before taking it in part exchange.

Thanks for the info. Well, we viewed the Ranger again today, damp readings in 2008 were max 15% which I don't think was too bad....but then for some random reason we chose a Senator Arizona and have put a deposit on it!
I hope Arizonas are good, they seem to be well-liked, we are waiting for some stats from them regarding quality and service history then hopefully we can collect on Friday!
