I am looking at buying a universal awning annexe but am confused about how they attch. I have tried a number of supplier but still cant seem the get tha answer.
I have an old outfit with a Piggots spacemaker awning, the panels zip out but the caravan side goes through the awning rail with a zip along top and side. Does anyone know if the said annexe will work or any ideas of an annexe that will fit this set up.
Thanks in anticipation.

I looked into the universal annex and emailed someone who was selling on ebay and asked if it zipped on. He said no it doesn't. I wasn't sure how good it would be so didn't bother. If i was going to get an annex i'd pay the extra £100 or more for the correct one.

We bought one of these from a pwer seller on ebay, they do work .. they do not zip up to the normal awning , the material and straps go inside and the straps secure the universal to the frame of orginal there is a frame that goes on the out side at far end to make the shape and guy ropes to hold down . they are a bit fiddly not as good as correct ones , they do work , but sold ours when we got rid of folding camper .
My problem is the awning is over 14 years old but a really good one. I tracked the company down that made it and the retailer who bought all of the old stock, neiher can help me with the correct annexe.
My main concern is that the universal one is a good fit as I couldnt stand gaps around the edges. Guess I need to see one up.
Thanks again

What about getting in touch with an awning repairer and see what they can do for you? I don't know if they could adapt a universal annex to fit, maybe putting some zips in?, or make an annex for you. I doubt if either would be cheap but if you are going to keep the awning, make really good use of an annex then over time would it would be worth the money?
sounds like you have a similar awning to me, where if you take the sides and front out there is literally just the frame and roof, no fabric panels that come down the lega, or the awning rail.
a universal didnt fit our, we borrowd one to try, it needed the canvas next the the van to get a good enough seal, it didnt work well up against the van side.
i have the same problem with my tri combi awning, might try somebody like tvs tent valeting services in bolton, and see how much it would cost to have one made
this is a universal awning and they only work if you have a fully zipped out panel, this in turn needs a roof pole going from the leg to the van.you get an extra pole for the van side.want to buy one???

We bought one last year just like the above, we took on main 2 week holiday to Cornwall it bounced it down one day whilst out the water welled on the roof just in front of the bar (the only one) bent and kinked it then it collapsed, The metal was that thin on the pole that when i tried to straighten it it started to split.
These are great for the extra room but i would only use one in dry weather.
