Can anyone help, we are looking to buy a new fullsize awning size 900cm. We,ve whittled it down to Bradcot, Ventura and possibly Isabella if we can stretch the budget that far. We used to own a folding camper, so we are new to caravanning. We will only use it for touring 3 or 4 times a year, so is there anyone out there who can give us some advise on the best one to go for.

      Thanks in advance.

Clearly, Isabella is the best.

But, for 3-4 times a year I don't think it's worth it.

However, a good 2nd hand one would be the route I'd choose.

There's one to fit your van currently on ebay:-

It's Bristol area too !

Good option, but if you wanted new, Bradcot is usually good quality and for a bit extra they have the lightweight pole system.

If you can view the one on E-bay before the end of the auction, and it's in good condition, go for it.

That's the same model we have but ours is one size smaller. We bought ours off e-bay from a caravan dealer who had found it at the back of the stockroom. We were lucky and got it for £225 including delivery. They retail for about £1000+ new. Obviously, you know what you can afford, but in good nick I'd say the ebay one is worth at least £400.

The poles are very light and it's very straightforward to put up. Ours has been in a few high wind situations, with storm straps, and has been used for a total of 18 weeks or so, and still looks like new.

If looking at it, even if it's packed ask to see it laid out. Check the windows aren't scratched and that the mud flaps are clean and undamaged. This is usually where you see signs it has or hasn't been looked after. Check the skirt too, that all the elastics for pegging out are in good, clean condition and that the three clips are there for the poles that go against the van. Also check the poles arent's cracked, and check the pole ends. We've found a couple of our end sockets have broken but it didn't stop us using it until we got replacements.

Any problem with the elastics and clips, assuming the rest of it is ok, isn't too much of an issue as they are standard for isabella and not too expensive to replace.

Good luck.
