 ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ has got to be from an American website Michael! Don't know if that info would correlate to UK batteries?

Back over the pond here in the UK, you will find battery measurements vary between manufacturer and amongst their ranges so you need to measure your battery compartment and take the info with you when you go to buy a battery.

I have searched high and low on the internet for an 85 amp battery over the last couple of weeks and the best I could find was about £57.00 with a two year warranty.

You have to wait for it to be delivered then if anything's wrong with it within the warranty, it's a real hassle getting it back to the supplier.

In the end, I opted to pay £60.00 from a place in Stevenage with the same warranty and just a five minute drive away if it has to be returned.

I wouldn't entertain spending 20p on a 5 year old battery let alone £20.00 even if it has been kept charged. You could wind up spending the twenty quid then have to shell out the extra dosh for a new one. Like tyres, I don't think a battery is something to be skimped on.
