well we are thinking of starting a mobile caravan valetibg firm for inside and out side valeting of vans will bring all our own water products etc was wondering what any one thought!!!!
I feel that this could be very much seasonal work, at the beginning & end of the seasons. Most people will make do with a wash & vac at home in between time away in their van. Our local mobile valet does cars, Boats, motorhomes & caravans & i would say that he is probably kept busy with mostly cars. Be good if you could get your foot in the door at a dealers local to you but then again most dealers already offer this service.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

think its a good idea but would do cars as well,a firm with a lot of cars will be glad of the cleaning service.i have a friend that does it but only from a building.seems to well.if you are serious i will ask him where he gets the bulk cleaning materials from.think OMF (fenwicks) does bulk supplies.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
It's ok for people who can keep their caravan at home, but if like us you can't and there are no washing facilities where the caravan is stored it would be a fantastic idea, also were not getting any younger so cleaning a caravan can be really hard work, so I would definately use you about 3 times a year.
Though you must remember you can't use a pressure washer on a caravan, that's the difference with car valeting companies they pressure wash cars.
i think its a great idea, i actually considered it myself.i advertised locally however and got zero response.daresay if you got your details round the local storage facilities or seasonal pitches on site you may do better than me who really only went in halfheartedly on the off chance of making a few quid.
hi Some good advice so far. It is seasonal so you need another service to run along side such as cars or domestic carpet cleaning. Also as already stated stay away from pressure washers. Be aware some sites and storage sites will not let you on.
Best advice is to get along to your local government run course for new business start up. It is free and covers all aspects of a business
Check this out, I have been running it for eight years feel free to contact me if you want more info. Due to health problems I am actually looking to move on. So there may be equipment etc available.
------------- Tomorrow never comes, yesterday never leaves and it is always today
Simon - there is someone already doing this in/around the Leeds area - they advertise at the site where we store our van. I'm sorry I don't know their name, but will have a look at the advert up there next time we go to the storage site. I wouldn't want you going to any expense if there is already someone who has cornered the market.
