Hellllloooooo,

Having recently purchased a new second hand Bailey Senator Oklahoma, and loving it, we would like to get a porch awning ( for us) and have an annex ( for the sprogs) for when they come with us, wifi and hair straighteners permitting of course!!

So- does anyone have any ideas for the best one to get? It will need to have a zip in annex -.heaven forbid the straight hair would get blown away! and when they don't want to come with us- we can just have the porch awning back to ourselves.

Do I have to measure the awning rail differently from a full awning, which I am told on our Bailey would be 967cms...

Thanks for all help, much appreciated.

Babyd

Hi

I have one of the above and it is brilliant the blue is not what it looks like in the picture though it seems to be a bit darker but light to carry and easy to put up and the annex is big enough for two hope you find what you want

Hi
Don't forget to make sure the awning doesn't end half way down one of the caravan windows. Always best to see the actuall awning on display and then you can measure it to make sure this doesn't happen.

We use a Bradcot Portico XL porch awning and have added their tall annex to it. We are very pleased with the quality and although we don't use the annex for sleeping (just storage, so that it gives us the use of the awning for sitting/eating when the weather is not so good). The tall annex is great because i can stand up in it.

Samandbensmum,

Is it like a tent material or is it like a proper awning? You know, that canvassy material? It needs to be not flimsy, if you know what I mean....

Hi
I also use a Bradcot Portico XL with a sleeping annex. I can confirm that the awning is a full weight canvas model, not light weight nylon. One of the advantages and the reason I bought it was, it has the awning bead sewn all around. This means that one end of awning fits in the awning track and the other is held close to the van with a pole and pad. I checked before I bought to make sure the porch did not foul a window. I have had a couple of problems with the awning but Bradcot picked up the awning at my home and repaired it and returned it to me within four working days. Excellent service.

We have a Ventura Marlin (a three-quarter awning) and when we're staying on a site for a whole week or more will add the annex, which can zip on at either side of the Marlin (and that's handy as not all pitches have room enough at the rear to accommodate the annex). You can hang an inner within the annex to make it into a cozy sleeping area, although we tend to put a table in it and use it as an eating area.

Thanks all- we like the look of the marlin, and the annex, and the fact that it will fit an inner tent inside is a good idea too.
