i've read lots of posts about this and am so confused. I want to watch my digital tv with freeview channels. The picture is usually awful. I realise that a directional aerial is best, but which one? It will have to go on a mast on the jockey.

now use sky dish but have two of these if the dish will not work due to high trees.

You don't need Sky for a satellite reception. Just get the cheap satellite kit in a box with all the trimmings from somewhere like Maplins or Towsure and then you can tune into Freesat. Gives you about 200 channels of utter rubbish!!!!!!!!

If you want an aerial then get a Status 530 and get rid of the dish one. You can then use a freeview box. Less channels so less rubbish!!!

not all transmitters transmit freeview , so you cant get whats not there , go onto the freeview website and put the post code in , allthough its not foolproof, it cant take into account wether you are in a valley or behind trees , if you go onto this website it will tell you nearly every thing about aerials- cables -amps-masts-transmitters
