I have a Carver Thames water pump, the one with the blue pipes and Carver water connection. The pump works ok, but the pressure isn't brilliant and I'd like to change just the pump bit.
I've read the Whale 921 is a high volume/pressure pump and wondered if this would be compatable with the Carver system? And if so, how difficult is it to swap?
Ok, just to answer my own question, all water pumps are compatable with the carver mark 2 connection and it's a very simple job to change the pumps. It's a simple matter of feeding the new pump tube and wiring up to the connection block then connecting two wires.
Dealer recommended a commet VIP pump, said it was a fairly bullet proof design with a decent flow rate (12 ltres per minute approx). Haven't decided which pump to get yet.
Well done Mozann, glad your sorted. Its all a learning curve this caravan lark, we're still learning 7 years on!! (Like remembering to lock the battery locker door before setting off
