Hi all, just wondering is any of you have an 825 size 7 or 14ft Harrison Awning for sale.Must have removable sides.I have 3 annex's but no Awning so would like to make use of 2 of them.

I have been looking around and havn't found anything exactly right.Nothing on ebay the right fit or type.

I have an Awning but it's no use as isn't a Harrison and it dosn't take an Annex.I just need more space.

The only other thing I can do is sell the annex's and my Awning and buy another complete with 1 or preferably 2 annex's?The reason I have the Annex's is because I have them with a freestanding awning.I sold my camper so don't need it.

Couldn't get a good price for it so looking at other uses.

Thanks

Moira

hi there dudley43, this might , just might be your lucky day. we have an Harrison awning that should fit your van. it came off of our 1989 swift corniche 14/4e.

it is grey in colour, has all 4 zip out panels and has a set of curtains. it has a full steel pole set.

it had a professtional repair in the shape of new weather flaps fitted around the bottom. thing is they are green,,, as in grass green.

      there is no ground sheet,

if this sounds any good, let me known and we will have to sort out something about letting you have a look.

                 cheers

                       Richard :)

Hi Richard, thanks for your reply. The only thing that worries me is how old your awning is as if all grey?My Annex's are maroon and biege but I'm not worried about matching colour's.Not sure if zips would be the same etc.You know what it's like with the way they change things.I think the Annex's are about 4 years old?Don'suppose your going to the Easter meet near Wells are you?May be able to view it then if you are nearer to us when we go there?

My vans an 1988 compass rallye 430

alright moira, at a guess, i would say that our awning is probably a little older than your annexes. i dont know if you were at the last dartmouth meet but it was on the van then. that was befor we changed vans.

not realy sure what we are doing for mayday yet.  the zips on this awning are by YKK. they are on white material and appear quite large. .

just got off the phone to the person i got the awning off and he tells me its approx 8 or 9 years old....

I will check out the zips on mine,I don't know what they are as havn't seen them for a while. Can't even remember if they are metal.

Don't even know where they are,in a shed or in the loft ,will get Dean to have a look and you never know they may still be the same?I don't know enough about Harrison Awnings to know the answer to this question.Maybe someone else may know?

The ones on ebay are either the wrong size or without zip out panels,or both.

Dean is a bit tired so may not be able to see zips till tommorow, will let you know asap.

Cheers

Just a thought,is the picture on your profile of the harrison awning? It's just that it dosn't look like the panels zip out in a rounded way,if you know what I mean. The one I need would be rounded corners.

nope, the one in the gallery is an awning that was a bad un... lol. we put that one up at church farm for a new years meet. it was wetter in side the awning when it rained than it was out side. it went in the bin....

when you say rounded corners, do you mean the panels or the edges of the awning its self ??

The panels that come out I think have rounded edges and there is a flap so that when you put the annex in the small flap fits over the zip.At least I think it does.

Yes the picture dosn't quite show the awning does it,lol.Everyones having a great time though.

Hi Richard, have had a reply to my wanted add and  Iv'e been offered one that seems too good to be true, even possibly the same colours as my annex's.I can't really say no to it as it sounds almost new.

Hopefully this deal I have will go ahead. Thanks for your offer but right now I'm going to go for the other guys awning, free postage too. Can't complain at that.

Thanks again

Moira

Hi Richard, did you find out if the zip on your awning may have been the same as mine.Only asking as I may have been had and the awning I have now paid for may not excist.Too Good to Be True is exactly the right wording that I used,we all know it usually is.

I will update this thread as nessescary.Got to give a little more time but I am very worried now.If anyone on here has a wanted ad then just be carefull,I wasn't
