I was speaking to a caravanning colleague this morning, who is off to Scotland touring.

He has just fetched his van from the storage, when he got home he found the battery flat (motor mover - elle ne marche pas!).

On checking he found the battery had cracked, he believes it had possibly frozen in cold snap!

Luckily no harm done as it sits in a plastic tray, but £ lots for a new battery!

I keep mine in the same storage(indoor) so will be checking it before towing home.

Not heard of that before but thought I would warn you nice folks!

My mate was told by the battery supplier that was probably the case!

 funny this I have a virtually identical situation, went to take my van out of storage switched on power ok switched on mover everything went dead checked fuses main 20 amp fuse blown changed fuse all still dead checked battery with multi meter

 dead no output at all, battery just 12 months old 115 amp exrider(exide) contacted

seller who emailed a reply to the effect that battery is just really flat after winter needs a boost charge, ok son works in garage so he took iot up to his work put it on boost charge for 24 hrs then it was left on trickle for 7 days/nights result on multimeter 12.2 volts which started to degade immediatly. Contacted seller agai with results.Sellert offered replacement 115 amp battery at no cost  complete with new 3yr warrannty ,am expecting delivery today,will keep the forum informed.

 Update SWMBO has informed me courier delivered new battery this morning and uplifted faulty one, IMO great service. Thanks to-:
