Hi, we have an Elddis Crown Regent which came from the same range. I would say the Crown caravans are not luxurious, the upholstery is pretty low rent and in fact I have just had the main lounge cushions re-stuffed at Tockfield because the foam was so dire.
I've had Baileys in the past, and my Bailey from the mid eighties was much better quality.
Having said that we have had ours for 3 seasons now, this is our fourth, and it has been great. We do cover it over the winter and I think that is helping to keep any damp at bay.
Get a damp meter, check over the entire van paying close attention to the inside of the cupboards and bases, around the top of the walls where the awning rail is and around the windows, also the bathroom.
Squish the seating and you will see what I mean about the foam, but not the end of the world because you can change that as we have.
Hmmm, as for price if it is private I would say probably around the £2,500 to £3,000 mark maybe a little more from a dealer. The Caravan Club told us the value to insure for so maybe give them a ring and get a quote to find out the value?
