Hello,
I'm still looking for a 4 or 5 berth van but unfortunately my choice is limited to an older, lighter van as my car (2002 Toyota Previa) only has a 65 kg nose weight limit.
Unfortunately most adverts/ebay descriptions do not quote the nose weight of the van. Does anyone know or recommend any van that may meet my requirements?
many thanks,
Rich.

The zenith is light, the more mod cons and extras the heavier the van have a look on the website, are you wanting new or older van?

Any particular model Lunar ?
Caravan manufacturers do not, as far as I know, ever quote an actual noseweight for the empty caravan. They do usually quote the maximum noseweight for the van - often 100kg if it has an Alko hitch.
I used to have a Lunar Saturn that had a MTPLM of 1030kg (IIRC). Unfortunately, it had an ex-works (i.e. empty) noseweight of around 85kg (limit for the hitch was 90kg). I originally towed it with a Peugeot 405 saloon and struggled for the whole of the time I had the Peugeot to keep the caravan's noseweight within the Peugeot's limit (I think that was around 65kg). I won't tell you how how I did it, else I'll have an army of folks telling me that I shouldn't have (which I know already).
Lunars are indeed lightweight caravans and might be worth looking at - but I'd suggest that you need to check/measure the noseweight of any van you are interested in before you buy.
Cheers Andrew
