I am almost in the "silver vanner" club, but I have had great times with tents of all sizes, folding campers and now the 'van.
In hindsight, I dont think that the programme showed vanning in the best light, but that may not be a bad thing. The better sites are getting booked up too quickly as it is!
I dont really care what opinion others have of us "vanners". I think on the whole, caravanners are still down to earth, friendly folk from many walks of life, sharing a healthy hobby.
I love it!

We to are young caravanners and agree with some of your points, I too found the program crap, I was to be honest expecting alot more, bringing it upto date.
One thing tho' you talk about people tutting when your kids play football by your van, I too would tutt if my van was close to yours..... Send them to a football pitch! I would soon tell my kids the reasons why they cant play with a ball near my van or anyone elses, It gives them repect for their own and other peoples property.
This seems to have degenerated into a slanging match, everyone is entitled to their own opinion,we have freedom of speech thanks to the silver surfers, time to close this subject I think Webby.
