hi when buying take a damp meter in that price bracket best to be safe.
check under seat locker wardrobes etc. for any spongy.
look at your storage you need:food, pots, cutlery, undies, folded and hanging and poss spce for books n stuff.
push for extras aquaroll, waste hog gas and battery, awning.
sniff hay smell is dodgy and tobacco nightmare to get rid of.
what berth you looking at? fixed beds popular but take up space for a washroom which after tent will be a super luxury for you!!
we done both and caravan wins hands down you can go ANY TIME.
a tip from my mum was stick a list to window for departure ie
packing, windows locked, water empty, roof lights locked, check indicators.
that way even when tired you dont forget anything. ....take notes from seller may help.
let me know if you want set up advice nearer time
I wish you may happy hols and good hunting.
