Hi,I'm in the lucky position to be able to buy a motor mover.I have a 1999 hobby 540 uk with a mtplm of 1500,what's the best /reliable mover for the money? I don't mind if i have to self fit.
There are a great many posts about this topic, but I think that the general opinion seems to be that most folks are usually happy with what they have.
We fitted the Rhyno model and so far, so good.
Use the search faciity to have a look at other peoples thoughts.

We did a short survey recently, and only one person was unhappy with their mover,(A rhyno, if I remember right) other people , like Jim, were very happy with theirs. This was more to do with the support they got.
Buy the cheapest, which is often the Enduro.
Some people worry about the length of guarantee, but seeing as they very rarely go wrong, IMHO this is irrelevant and a cost not worth it.
The PowerTouch will price match an Enduro (or anything else for that matter) they do however charge extra now to keep the 5 year waranty if this is not offered by the competition they are matching, which is fair enough I suppose. When I got mine they price matched an Enduro on ebay and gave the 5 year warranty for £540 if I recall correctly. They also provided it on finance which was very reasonable too.
Why buy a PowrTouch over the competition though?
Their customer service is unbeleivably good. I had a problem with installation which they helped with quickly and comprehensively. They also pointed out that it should have been mentioned in the instructions and sent me another copy of the instructions. (I couldn't actually find the problem in the instructions though)
If any one is interested in the problem, one motor was running the wrong direction. I got over it by reversing the polarity at the control box, but PowrTouch confirmed that this was fine for a self install but said that if it were a professional install it would have been reversed at the motor.
We've had a Truma/Carver for 6 years with no probs whatsoever except when the ECB burnt out, but this was my fault, not the product's.
Whichever one you go for don't ever use it to nudge the 'van a couple of feet or so while connected up to the mains. When connected in this way the output from the battery is higher than when it's not and this is what caused my ECB to burn out.
