White Arches is about a 45min drive away from us so we went to take a look at caravans yesterday. Was very very tempted by the 09 Bailey Ranger GT60's, me with the 3 bunk one and dh with the fixed bed one.
They even come with a starter pack that includes a full tuscany awning and loads of other stuff.
Has anyone any experience with their after sales service? Would you recommend them?
And if you have a Ranger what do you think of it? What are the downsides of owning one? I noticed that in both of them the Light switch in the bathroom was on the light so little kids couldn't turn the light on in the toilet at night. My thoughts are that i would just leave it on all night, i know that there isn't a plug in the kids bedroom or outside so i'd have one fitted (£150 each) and i could plug in a radiator in the kids end as there is no heating up that end.
White Arches are a very long established business, we seem to have been visiting them for over 25 years although, as yet, not purchased a caravan from them, although that might change later in the year. Someone on another group has had 4 or 5 new vans from them and he seems pretty happy. They have only recently started sell Bailey caravans. I think the 'Starter Pack' only comes if you don't have a trade in.

Yes, the starter pack is only if you don't want to trade another 'van in. I found the staff just perfect. They were there if you needed them and not there when you didn't!! We were really impressed with the service considering we were not going to be buying there and then. They happily answered all our questions and then left us to carry on looking around. We were really disappointed not to see the Ranger 540/6 (i think thats the one with 3 bunks) GT60. So out of curiousity where do you buy your caravans from? Is there another dealer southwards that you visit?
My last two vans came from a dealer a few miles down the road at Wellingborough called Nene Court Caravans. We had actually ordered another new van from them but they cancelled it because, at the time, they were closing down and could not offer any backup. There was no problem with the deposit which I got back. Since then things seem to have changed a bit and it looks as if they will continue to sell secondhand vans. Hence thinking of White Arches for the next van. I like their dealer special range which is made by Swift. I have heard on the grapevine that there is a new model due called the Rockingham which is the same layout as the Bailey California/Sancere. We are off to Italy for a couple of months so can't really do anything until we return.
hi we bought a caravan from white archers, we went for the £99 starter pack, yes it`s great but the payments was over 8 years, but we said it was a bit long so they increased the monthly payments and it was over a shorter period and worked out nearly £1000 cheaper that we had to pay back, after sales they are great and very helpful with any problems

Cheers for that. The starter pack they are offering now is free, worth over £800 and includes a Tuscany Awning amongst other things. It's good to hear that the after sales service is good. You hear of so many dealers that offer a great deal only to let the customer down after the sale...
