Good Morning Everyone.
I have now got to replace my caravan tyres, on my Freedom Sunseeker Club Class.
I checked the size on the sidewall and it is 165R13C 94/92Q,
I have made some enquires, and I have been told the equivelant size is 165/80 R13 R (94), 8Ply.
I have also seen some tyres 165/70 R13 (94), 8Ply. What is the difference between the two tyres?. And are these tyres suitable for my Freedom.
Many Thanks
It looks like the only difference is the profile, so the overall diameter will be 20mm less than the original (80 is the basic standard size) Lower profile tyres will usually cost more, and the wheels will turn slightly faster on the road.
I would always try to stick to the original size if possible.....but that is not always possible!
I am no tyre expert, so seek advice from the tyre fitter, but my guess is that they should be fine.

The difference is the tyre wall height , 70 means the height of the tyre is 70% of width , 80 means the height of the tyre is 80% of the tyre width . 165/80 R13 R (94), R is the speed rating of the tyre see Here .
I would say they suitable , but would also say you should buy the one that is closest in size to your old ones .
Lucky you....I was booked to go but had to cancel. Our new pup has just had injections and cant be let out where other dogs go for a couple of weeks, so we are confined to home at the moment. Never mind, We will make up for it in May!
165/80x13 is identical size to 165x13 so those are the ones to go for. 165/70x13 will make your caravan lower so might cause it to tow 'nose up' which is not desirable.
I don't think there is a 70% tyre in this size, certainly not with the same 94 load index, so it will be a misprint, infact 80% and the same as the other two!
i agree with gary the 70 series is available as reinforced but only has a load index of average 83 but there is an avon which is 88/86 which is still a long way short of the 94 rating you are looking for so i would stick with the 80 and make sure they are commercial not car
