If only 1 was coming you could have took the back rests off the sofas and put them in the floor between your 2 singles then it would be like 3 single beds. Seems like the wee tent is the best option for 2 of them though.

Why put the tent in the awning - put it behind or beside the caravan and keep your space. Our daughter has been outside in her own tent since she was 14 and loves it. We have a 4-berth 'van, but she only sleeps inside when she absolutely HAS to - her tent is her own space. At 16 and 21, I wouldn't give a second thought to a separate tent (at 16 I was regularly camping without my parents (I had passed my C&CC Youth Test, so could use C&CC sites alone) and by 21 I was married with my own folding camper!).

Our 16 yr old son usually sleeps in awning annex and he prefers it as the alternative is to share front bed with his brother (13)! When we use the big awning we sometimes pop a little tent in there for 13 yr old too. They love having their own space. They both have good sleeping bags and use airbeds and they are lovely and warm.
When we take our 10 year old grand daughter away with us she sleeps on the floor between us on the back rest cushions which exactly fit on the floor space between the two seats. In her sleeping bag she's cosy & safe!
Our van is a dinky two berth.

That is what we thought to do if she comes on her own.
I am just a bit nervous as we have never taken them before as we only started caravaning last year. We love it (wish we had done it years ago) and want our daughters to see how much fun it is. I have given in too easily before now when they have opted to stay at home. They are good kids and when they are at home they look after the house. The 16yr old needs to get out more though as she spends too much time inside watching tv and games machines. So fingers crossed she will like this camping lark ... or will we regret it lol.
we are only in 4th year of camping / caravaning (kids got fed up treking across field in rain for loo so now have caravan!) so our teenagers came to it late. they generally moan about going away but always have a laugh when we get there. we always take a tv but have never yet managed to get a reception! we usally have a few card games & watch a dvd they chose, if its nice we try to play out door games like badminton, skittles or boules, we always do a shop for food & they end up with someting small each especially when most big supermarkets do clothes & make-up! when they get bored try & get them to do something with you & make them laugh, we also play silly alphabet games naming countries or animals as you go through the letters. expect the worst & it'll much better i'm sure they'll love it, even if they dont admit right away, ours often talk about funny incidents that happend while away like middle one velcroing her head to tent floor when she laid down! & hubby tripping over step while carring clean dishes back from wash up!

Just booked a few more trips with daughter in mind for this year so really looking forward to having her with us.
Unfortunately she doesn't seem to have many friends. We have only lived in this area for a few years and she is quite a shy person. Anything football though and she perks up lol.
