Hi SolisGazer,
I think to a certain extent you get what you pay for. When we were looking I felt you paid a premium for a Cassoa site, but then some insurance company's seem to give a bit of a discount for using one.
From memory there was a storage place at Hullavington airfield that offered indoor caravan storage, but I think it was about £600 per year!
We store our van on storage site on a farm. We pay £120 a year, it's fenced in and has a locked gate. We've been there nearly 4 years and have never had any problems, so far.
I guess I'd suggest you go and visit a few and get a feel for how they are run and ease of accessability, security, etc.
It might be worth ringing the council to ask if they have a list of caravan storage sites as I think they have to be registered, and I think some of them don't need to to advertise, the one we are at always seems to be full, I think they get all their business through word of mouth.

There's a place on the Lyneham side of W. Bassett - also Burtonhill Caravan Pk in Malmesbury.
Probably too far away but theres a place just starting up in Longcot (5m NE of Swindon) and there's always spaces in the site in Cricklade.
There's also a small yard just off J15 M4 between the junction and Wroughton. (smaller vans only) Mind you - theres a Pikey site within 1 mile of this yard.
Give Swindon Caravans a ring - they usually advertise storage sites on their small ads board.
