My uncle,on his way down to Wales, had the misfortune to catch a kerb and puncture and damage both offside wheels on his twin axle van
He had breakdown with the AA (he had informed them he towed a van) so called them out and suffered terrible delays in them trying to get a pick up truck big enough for the van.
In the end they came along with one just big enough to get the 2 wheels onto the trailer but hanging well off the back.so much that the police escorted the truck to the nearest service area.
My uncle now wants to make sure he can, if required, be assured that he will get a truck big enough
Has anyone any experience of having a 26ft van picked up?
