Unless it is a very minor repair which does not need spare parts, they always reschedule the work for a later date, so its another trip anyway.
So that would be 3 visits then as workshop one cannot authorise warranty work so workshop 2 looks at it and applies to Bailey for approval then visit 3 is gets the work done.

I know that us engineer's talk in a different language, but if you trail your van all the way to the dealer for a service (and pay dealer service prices) and it turns out that something is broken but can be replaced under the warranty, it normally takes anywhere up to 8 weeks for a warranty part to arrive at the workshop. because of that time delay most dealers will make you take the van away and then call you to bring it back when the part has arrived.

So that's dealer service prices (Discover charge £199 for a single axle) and the take it home to then have to take it all the way back for the warranty work.

You can work the cost of that yourself, but seeing as an average cost for a NCC Mobile is about £120 - £140, there is probably more to be saved.

Choice is yours.

Dave101 - thanks for that info.

Happy to help.

We do loads of Baileys and Swifts, both of whom try to convince you to take it back to the dealers. In fact, as soon as the parts are in, we've got several Bailey warranty jobs to do.

Hope you get your problem sorted and save a few quid in the process.

Hi

I've never had a Bailey dealer find any warranty work on my caravan except for damp.

The few jobs that've been fixed under warranty are jobs I've booked it in for at the same time as the service.

As said above there are Bailey approved workshops that can carry out warranty work and they don't all charge discover prices.

It's worth shopping around!

Which is why i go to Long Eaton Caravans - Bailey approved workshop for warranty work and no main dealer prices - warranty work then only means two visits.  One for the service and possibly a return for any work under warranty.
