Is it worth getting a damage repairable van?

I have seen a few which are classed as Cat D write offs but only seem to have cosmetic damge from trees etc

I am not going to be touring as am looking to go "seasonal" and a few external scuffs wouldnt bother me! Or am i making a rookie error

If its not going to be used for touring, and is watertight, and as long as its price is right, I can't see a problem.

someone on here recently went through this, theirs had damage due to hail stones.  I think they had to get an engineers report to state damage had been repaired and it was road worthy.

This is the van I was looking at but its gone over my budget now anyhow....interestingly i think the van is now overpriced as both sides would need re-skinning and there looks to be a crack on the front as well

Ah well...keep on looking i guess!

I spoke with the seller yesteday and he has given me a buy it now price and i am tempted to say the least...well tempted to drive over and take a look!

Either this one or a Crusader Superstorm 2000 which i have found for a grand or so less......a purchase is getting close!

To be honest the wife wants to go smaller even though we are going on a seasonal pitch

Both are also probably to heavy for my car Vectra Estate 1.9CDTI diesel so its back to the drawing board!!

Isnt buying a caravan a roller coaster of emotions!! Who would have thought it!
