We have just part-exd our caravan and replaced it with a slightly bigger one.  We've been told that our 12month old Ventura Atlantic Blue awning (has the lightweight poles)wont fit the new one.

It has only been used about 3 times and is beautifil !.  I was thinking of putting it for sale, how much do you think is a reasonable amount to ask for it?

Its the 975 size I think.

Yes we did look into it and we were quoted well over £200.

With this we decided we may be better off selling and getting smaller porch type so we can keep the weight down, the new van is heavier!

Depending on the size difference between what the old van was and the new one I would have the ventura altered.

I have had my Ventura altered four times. Think on, its a good quality item and in selling it you will only realise about 40% of it value.

I have never paid £100 to alter and that includes freighting it there and back to the alterers.

I use East Yorkshire Awnings in Leads (sic) Road, Hull and would recommend them to anyone.

We have a Ventura Atlantic Verde and like you considered selling as it was 925cm and our new van was 975cm. We sent it off to TVS (Bolton).

They turned it around in less than a week and made a fantastic job of it i would fully recommend their services. It cost about £130. I suppose the only downside was that at 925cm it managed ok on three roof poles and the 975cm version needed two extra carbon fibre poles that i got for another £30.
