We are considering buying a new caravan from GT Towing, Hatfield, Herts and would like to know what their after sales is like? Has anyone used them even if just for a service?
I don't know if this helps but I used them to get a replacement Fiamma part a couple of years ago - they were very efficient. Not the same as a service I know but an efficient place is usually efficient in everything it does. Of course others may have a different opinion.

Thanks its good to hear that they are as good as they appeared today. We quite clearly told the salesman that we couldn't buy today and he didn't try to persuade us to put a deposit down or do the hardsell on us.
We have used GT Towing many times and have found them to be excellent. Twice we have had to change items, once when we purchased a water hog and it had no tyres on it !!! Not their fault but exchanged for another with no quibble, also I changed my mind on something and they gave me a full refund. Not used them to buy a caravan but have been shown around them and the salesman was not pushy at all, was happy to explain the different models even though he knew we were not buying. When we upgrade next I will certainly look to see what they have at the time.
We live in Watton at Stone. Our caravan is in storage at the Ashwell CC site. It's too big to keep at home. We love Ashwell, it looks a lovely village. We eat at one of the pubs at the end of the village can't remember the name of it. We are often up there visiting the van.
Yes GT spent a lot of time with us when we were first thinking of buying a caravan, and we said we were not buying as we couldn't afford one at that time. As it was we bought one privately, but will pay them a visit when we can afford to upgrade maybe next year.
I'll agree with you there that Ashwell is a lovely place. I've lived here all my life and couldn't ever leave. Though quite happy to go away on holiday as often as i can lol.
If ever the money comes through and they still have one for sale we will definetly be buying a 'van from them as they are the most convenient place for us. Amber Leisure at Hitchin is our nearest but you have to take your 'van for a service at Luton and the roads to GT Towing are much better when towing a 'van lol.
My friend purchased a bailey from them, and had a rear panel repair he has just taken the caravan for a service and now find there is 75% damp in rear and also found out they are not a national caravan approved workshop as they advertise on thier web site.
That doesn't sound too good!! Is he covered by any warrenty? What is he going to do? That amount of damp is going to be really expensive if he pays someone to do it for him...
