knowing that many folks are looking for older vans to refurb I thought this one would be a particularly interesting candidate for complet restoration.

Thomson Glenmore Twin door caravan c mid 1970's, not 1990's as advertised.

Might be worth a look if you live locally and I know that the many members who have repaired caravans will be only too happy to help with advice should you be willing to take on this van.

Luckily I have a copy of the original 70's brochure on my website with the Glenmore specifications! surprisingly light at 1090kg, a 4/5 berth towable by most medium sized cars! Who said older caravan were heavier?!?

Ah yes......I remember them well. My Brother-in-Law was the works inspector for Thomsons in Carronshore, Stirlingshire, and designed a lot of their furniture etc. before he died, and my brother also served his time there as a carpenter....that was when they were hand built......but the cheaper foam filled panels that manufcturers started using made them uneconomical to compete and sadly led to their demise.

Nice to know that so many are still giving sterling service after all those years.
