Movers are very much a matter of personal choice - I personally prefer Reich but theres lots to choose from. Regarding insurance - same applies. We got ours on here and got a 10% discount

Should come with step, and electric cable.
Some levelling blocks useful.
Waste pipe and container. Water container(aquaroll or similar).
Anti theft devices (hitchlock and wheel clamp min- and often required by insurer)
Towing mirrors for car.
Jack for caravan, check with dealer to see if it has a spare wheel, may well do.
Movers, plenty of selection, look on here.
We are insured with Towergate Bakers, but again if you search on here there are plenty of suggestions.

Niall

I would say welcome to the world of caravans but i'm afraid i can't do that as you have ordered the very caravan i want and i am too jealous

As soon as we can we will order our caravan and as we are concerned about any warrenty issue's we have asked the dealer how much it would cost for them to fit it.  He said we would need a heavy duty one as the GT60 has shock absorbers and quoted £990 inc VAT to fit it.  That seems a fair price to me and as the dealer has fitted it if we have any problems we only have the one place to go back to.

Just got to ask did you see the Ranger last year?  We fell in love with it then but am so glad we didn't get it then as the GT60 ticks every box we have.  Did you see that it has a tv aerial in the kids bedroom?  And the dealer says that there is an extra piece of wood on the wooden bedroom wall so that you can fix the tv bracket onto it.  I could go on for days talking about it lol.

So when do you pick it up?

Jeannie

Hi Jeannie

I haven't notice the tv aerial in the kids room or the extra bit of wood.

i haven't thought about the warrenty issue concerning fitting a mover i will get onto Bailey though to find out more.

To be honest i couldn't even find the extra plug socket when we looked at the GT 60 we only looked at it once and that was on a special trip out of the way and with the kids in toe (are we there yet )

We have looked at the normal ranger in more detail but read about the Gt 60 in the c-club mag.

Ordered it today over the phone after a long discusion last week at the dealer's and many phone calls to get the px price i wanted for the m-home but i belive the date for delivery will be week 26,  22 june onwards acording to Bailey.

Cant wait, but will miss the m-home used to be my parents van from new.

We are in the similar position to you Niall24. We ordered our GT60 540 about a month ago and its got a build date of this week (Yippee). So far i've got a 12n +12s converter for the towbar and a suncamp ultima 390 porch awning and thats it. We found a storage place at the weekend so that bits sorted, But need to sort water/waster, Hitchlock, Wheel lock (considering a Full Stop Excalibur Receiver Wheel Clamp), gas. Now considering having a motor mover. Dealer has quoted £995 for a Reich Move control so i'm looking at orther alternatives such as Rhynomover.

Also the socket for the tv near the floor on the side of the bench next to the door. Never noticed the extra piece of wood.

Si

Check that the van doesn't already come with one. Don't buy one until you have found out which one you need as they are all different according to wheel

Thats why i've been looking at the Full stop excaliber. This is the info from one website

Integrated security to fit the latest Al-Ko and BPW chassis

214The Excalibur screws straight into the receiver section provided, avoiding the need for accurate wheel alignment or the need to jack up your wheel.  Fast and very effective to use, it also comes with Sold Secure Gold accreditation, giving you the ultimate peace of mind.
