Having been a victim of the credit crunch (lost income) we had to sell our Compass Omega last September, and now this years season is up and running we are really missing our caravan, I've thought about buying a cheap starter van but i'm not convinced this is a good idea so I'm exploring the idea of hiring a tourer for our main holidays.

Does anyone know of any company that hires self tow caravans?

We live in Mid Wales near the Shropshire border so would not want to be travelling huge miles to collect the van and then return it after our break.

Thanks for that information.

There not cheap to hire! Looks like back to plan A, to look for a humble starter van or do without for a couple of years.
Having 2 young children I must say that caravan holidays are the least stressful, the kids just love to play around the site whatever the weather and if they're happy then so are we.

I'm thinking that to hire a caravan and all the hassle that comes with it at £300-£400 per week I would be better spending that money on a starter van.
