Can anyone tell me if Cristal caravans are bankrupt or not? We have a problem with ours but have been told that the company has gone bust. I don't seem to be able to find anything on the net that is after 2006.

They were owned by Tirus who went under a while ago so I think they have gone under.  Have you rung the dealer you dealt with before?

Chateau and Lunar use a lot of generic parts that were in Cristalls (the hob glass was a Chateau) also LMC designed them,. Also in the world of the net, you could try some german dealers who still may have parts in stock. Most parts are standard Truma, Smeg bits etc. so dont presume all are impossible to get. I would imagine only body parts such as doors would be tricky, windows and everything else will be standard. I had one as you know and we still miss it. Good luck.

Thanks for your help. The problem is damp in the front. It appears that the windows bhave leaked due to them being badly fitted. Obviously as Cristal have gone under, there is no fuarantee now and the ban is only 18 months old. B*****r!! We got the van from Moorland and they are so bad at service, I do not ancicipate any response from them. Not a happy bunny I have to say. However we still love the van, Just facing a big bill now.
