I'm going to look at a 2001 Bailey Discovery 516 tomorrow, can anyone tell me if the 2 bunks at the rear are fixed or does the top one fold down? I really want them to be fixed as all the fold down ones I've seen up to now appear to be a bit small and/or flimsy. Thanks

Hi, i think that you'll find the bunks at the rear are fixed, i've just googled the caravan that your going to see, and found one of e bay and it did say fixed bunks. If your going to a dealer, or even a priavte seller, is there any chance you can phone in advance and check?

AliHo, I just spent ages on the phone asking loads of questions, I didn't want to annoy them by calling back again. That and obviously looking like a proper numpty into the bargain!

What a shame, I just drove over 200 miles round trip to look at the van and although it did have fixed bunks it also had damp in a small area at the front of the van.

Thanks to the advice on this forum I took a damp meter and used it all around on the inside around the seams and it flicked red in an area about a foot long and a few inches wide. I left and said I would think about it but I presume I would be best off just forgetting about it? The rest of the van was good and came with loads of extras...
