Hi All,

I have just bought a caravan today and I need to get a towbar fitted this week and wondred if anyone has a detachable fitted to the same car?

The only problem I forsee is that we have a new shape Honda CRV, but we have the Aero Kit fitted to the car (different bumpers which are factory fited) - has anyone got a towbar on this type of car?

Any advice would be greatfully received.

 I can't help you with the Aero kit bit but I have a new CRV and have a fixed towbar fitted. The under tray behind the bumper needed a small cut but is not visable. I have seen a detachable one and there was no cutting or trimming required but with the aero kit you may have to.

 On a different note, what colour is yours? Mine is black, BIG mistake!!! Only 5 weeks old and looks about 5 years old in certain lights. More fine marks and scratches than enough. Going back to the dealers bodyshop next week to get all over polish to remove them. Good towcar though.

 I have the witter detachable towbar fitted to mine with dedicated electrics. They have to remove a large plastic part from under the car,which we have kept in case we px in the future.There is no bumper cut though. Don't know about the Aero kit not got one

P.S Expect to only get about 27mpg when towing although good mpg at any other time!
