Hiya All,

We have just brought a cheap gas BBQ from Argos for £36 (Bargin!) it had it's own gas regulator on it with a switch to plug it onto the gas.  We changed it for a normal gas regulator then my partner said 'I wonder if it will be ok' so just thought I would make sure it is ok to use a normal gas regulator for it?  Also is the red gas which we use for the caravan ok to use for the BBQ?  We are going to take it out of the caravan.

It should work fine on either bottle, Red & Blue,providing its the right regulator,for the bottle you are using.

On the subject of bargain barbecues, These fit the bill nicely. There is also a stand available for them. out of stock at the moment, but they are available from other stockists. They even come with lava rock.

We have one as well. Excellent value and very compact, ideal for two people.
