The Sprite is slightly more expensive, but I thnk its worth it, If I could have afforded it at the time I would have chosen the Major 6 over the 550/6. Though I am dlighted with our van.

Can't really comment on the bailey tho, down to your personal taste I suppose, we personally don't like the interior design in the baileys so for us it would be the sprite,

had a bailey 550/6 loved it but nowgot a sprite quttro es bunk bed one and the quality is much better basically you get what you pay for oh much preffers the sprite
I also had the same choice. I spoke to an independent caravan engineer who had been in the trade for 30 years and he strongly recommended the Bailey over the Sprite, mainly because of the construction quality and the likelihood of water ingress, but it's up to you!
Oh, and the weight!

If you read some of the other forums, recently there seem to have been lots of new Baileys with water ingress problems, some after only a few months from purchase, and with very little actual 'on-road' use! I'd talk to a few caravan engineers and see what they say, but for me it would be the Sprite - it looks a more modern and up to date van, somehow.
We looked at the sprite major and the bailey ranger GT 60 and standard the finish in the Gt 60 was tons better than the sprite and loads more stuff on it and only £200 more.
The Bathroom in the major looked cheap compared to the GT60 also.
+ you cant lock the kids away in the Major like you can in the ranger's...

I found the complete opposite when I was looking every Bailey I looked at has wonky doors, trim falling off, seemed claustrophobic the list goes on.
funny people saying bailey has better quality than sprite! NEVER IN A MILLIONS YEARS! and it has been said by a bailey dealers sales manager they are ok but if u use then constantly ie rallies etc they will not last as long as swift group or explorer group! anyway everyone has ther own opinion i think bailey have great ideas and usually have the first of innovative layouts but the quality is way short of for example sterling cupboard doors a flimsy as are work tops in baileys look foryourselves it cannot be denied!
