Hi

I'm thinking of ordering the purple line enduro motor mover for my soon to be arriving Ranger gt60 540/6. My plan was to install this myself but after asking if the mover can be fitted with a caravan with shock absorbers I was told that it may have to be installed behind the wheels rather than in front. This will cause it to get more water / dirt splashed onto it. Does anybody else have an enduro fitted to a van with shock absorbers and if not would being mounted at the back cause too many problems with the motors.

Thanks Simon

Hi simon

This is the reply i got when i asked about getting a mover fitted.

Dear Niall

I would like to thank you for your email regarding your Bailey Ranger GT60

It is recommended that any non standard additional fitment required is carried out by your supplying retailer to avoid invalidation of the Bailey Warranty.

I trust this is of assistance

Kind Regards

My Enduro is installed behind the wheels, the sliders do get covered up with mud, but they either get washed out when it rains while travelling, or I give it a good powerwash and a grease every year.

Not perfect, but it's ok, and many times better than pushing the caravan.

I'm not sure if other movers are better sealed than the Enduro.

Maybe not the response you wanted to hear but it's true.  Don't fit anything yourself if you don't want to invalidate your warrenty.  We want a mover and have ordered one to be fitted by the dealer so that my warrenty is not going to be invalidated.  I'd strongly advise letting your dealer do it for you even if it does cost more.

The problem is that the dealer wants £995 to fit a mover (reich), the enduro is £599. Thats a big difference. Looking at the instructons & the pictures wizard has on his site it doesn't look that difficult to fit. The only invasive thing is drilling a 25mm hole through the floor. So if i do that i invalidate the warranty for the whole van? That doesn't seem fair. If i got damp around the hole that would be my fault, but if i get damp in the top corner of the caravan surely thay cannot say the warranty is invalid because of the drilled floor. Can they ?

Then warranty doesn't affect your other rights under the sale of goods act. Warranties often give you less rights than you already have, but they try to hide behind them.

My dealer tried that one me, but I was assertive and got my way

Hi

I fitted my Powertouch to 2 caravans, and fitted my Enduro to our current Sterling

I didn't drill a hole in any of them, there are lots of exisiting points under your caravan that the cable will go through.

Hi Paul

I don't pickup the van until friday so i don't know if there are any air vents near the battery, I hope there are, as it would make the job easier and hopefully not void any warranty if there is !.

Still unsure about mounting the mover at the back of the wheels, but doesn't seem to be a problem as long as its cleaned often
