Hi. I am looking to purchase a new close weave groundsheet for our awning. As people who have these will know, they are a bit pricy. I don't think i can quite stretch to a Bolon carpet, but are the others any good? i.e Liteweave, Kampa Easytread, Weavatex, Carpetina etc.
Whatever I buy it will have to last for a few seasons. Just want to know what members have gone for and are they happy with their choice.
Have a good Bank Holiday all
We have a Bolon carpet for the porch awning and it's great. We plumped for a Carpetina for the full awning and find it equally as good and, from memory, was considerably cheaper.
Best wishes

We have a Carpetina for our porch awning. We use it on hardstandings with a normal groundsheet underneath. The Carpetina was a lot cheaper than the Bolon.
I wouldn't want to use it straight on grass though.
That's positive news for the Carpetina. I read a good review on the Practical Caravan website but it was from 2005. What makes it hard now is to find a good up to date source of information to make an informed choice.
I have read a few excellent reviews of tents on this site and have often wondered why the review section isn't expanded to include more products from caravans to other important items such as awnings and groundsheets etc.
I am sure members would soon add enough usable info to help others with less experience.
Just a thought.
