We have a powertouch mover and use a Numax 85ah with no problems, but use sites with EHU's.

However if you plan to use the mover and use sites with no EHU then a 110ah would probably suit you better.

Hope this is some help.

Why?

Apparently a motor mover will run for about 90 minutes using a 110ah battery. Unless you plan on staying off EHU or fancy doing caravan races round the campsite using the motor mover, a smaller battery should suffice.

Untill the day you find it won't cope......  110amp for me even before the mover was fitted.

110 amp is what I have on mine.

Yes it can move a lot, but as soon as you are moving van around on an inclined area, you will find a faster drain on the battery.

Also if your not on a EHU on your break, you may find that although its not flat, there may not be enough juice to get mover moving, Which is the last thing you want to happen if you need the mover to get the van away when you get back, which is when you are knackered the most.

Our mover is fine on our 85ah battery. We are usually not on EHU and carry a spare 85ah battery just in case. This time of year, the spare rarely gets used.

In 17 years of caravanning I've only ever had a flat battery once, and that was because I didn't charge it after a 4 month lay up. Never used EHU till 6 years ago and we used to go away for a fortnight at a time in the summer with just an 85 aph battery. But then we didn't watch telly, that uses a lot of power.

I have a hitch mover which I use sometimes and there's always been plenty of juice to work it, even after a weekend without EHU. The battery compartment in my van only just fits an 85 aph one in, so I couldn't get a 110 aph if I wanted to.

I did get a 110 aph for one van because I had a Rhyno mover fitted and they recommended a larger battery.

A 110Ah battery will last for 110hours if only 1 amp is being drawn so if 10 amps are being drawn it will only last 11 hours.

When we changed our van I bought a new 85aH battery that was three years ago. Two years ago I fitted a Powrtouch mover model one as our vans max weight is 1100kg, instructions stated nothing less than an 85aH, been fine and I just moved the van two weeks ago. When I need to replace the battery I will defo go for a 110aH one
