having just purchased a 26 foot twin axle we are debating what kind of awning to look for ( and the prices are prohibitive) , as the kids want to sleep out, would it be feasible to go for a large porch awning with 2 annexes on, ( if we had a full awning we would still ad at least one annex).
Hi, Nothing wrong with a good porch awning especially an Isabella Magnum or similar quality...Very well made to stand up to all sorts of weather and quite roomy over 3 meters by 2.3 meters.

We have used both awnings and porches. The problem with larger vans is that the awnings get very big and can be difficult to put up. Also check the height of your van. We changed our van to one which was higher and found that we needed a different porch. Very happy with what we have now but do have two porches for sale. An Apache (quick to put up) and a Bradcot. ( takes a bit longer but is like a 1/2 awning and will take annex). I have not got as far as putting these on ebay yet so if you would like more details give me a shout.
ta very much , but we just fell lucky today with a full awning to fit at £350 barely used , its also 3 metres deep so suits mr i must have lots of space to a tee lol, will use bedroom inners which we already have , so problem solved,
We have both a porch and full awning. We tend to only use the full awning when we go away for two weeks, usualy in the summer. This way we have much more living space and the kids sleep in the annexe. We find that the porch awning is used for week stays or weekends, just enough room for our chairs and getting our shoes off when its raining. Its much easier to dry out the porch awning when you get home than a full awning. I wouldn'tbe without either of ours.
