Looks like a good idea, although our van does not vent that much heat at the back.. Caravanners are a very inventive lot!

Better with an external mains socket fitted on the outside wall of your caravan and use a small electric fan heater (I have a 1025cm awning). I also find it heats the inside of the van much quicker as the trunking runs all round the van and loses much of it's efficiency while doing so.......especially if you use your van in winter. Just make sure you don't use the inside heater and the external one together  at full output at the same time.
