read this first,buy a damp meter and use it in every corner including under the seats at the front and rear.if it is damp you have wasted your money.check the toilet area too this is where they try to hide damp patches.

Re paper work - I think you need to check it has not been stolen the Caravan Club offer this service they also have some useful info on their website.

If it is CRISIS registered I think you need to check that the number on the paperwork matches the numbers on windows etc.

Check CRIS reg as mentioned, also any service records or receipts are useful. Caravans are supplied with service books like cars.

Insurance-plenty of advice on here if you use search facility.

But as previous people have said on this site a little understanding when something is miss spelt please.

You never know if someone has a difficulty. You wouldn’t find it funny if some one in a wheel chair was making a mistake - sorry to be brutal. But I am like many people dyslexic and the spell checker won’t pick up that sort of miss spelling!  I am sure you didn't mean to cause offence, its just joking about poor spelling get my hackles raised! And it could put people off using the site – plus I have made much more interesting mistakes in the past!

Welcome to the site and the world of touring. You don't say how old the caravan you are buying is. As well as CRIS documentation and any service records it's very helpful if the original manuals are available.

On a typical van there is the owners manual for the van plus manuals for the cooker, fridge, heater, water heater, toilet in the main and there may be others. Not the end of the world if not there but very useful, you can never remember everything.

Also check what is included in the sale. you should have the water pump, EHU cable, steady winder and battery at least but may also have fresh and waste water containers, security devices etc.
